Founded in 1999, Oakwrights are now firmly established as one of the most progressive and innovative oak framing companies in the market. We were the first oak framing company to invest in a ‘Hundeggar K2’ 5-axis beam processor, allowing us to significantly increase productive capacity and thereby reduce lead-in times.

Our frames are designed on the most sophisticated software package allowing our clients a unique opportunity to interact with their frames in 3D virtual reality. We have also researched and developed a patented panel system for exposed oak frames to comply with NHBC and building control approval.

Our oak frames are all traditionally jointed, pegged and draw-bored. As a progressive company we have invested in state of the art machinery to speed up the fabrication process. Nevertheless the arts and means by which an oak frame is crafted are still those that were developed and refined by our mediaeval forefathers. Every frame is still handcrafted by skilled and experienced carpenters.
