We have always been proud of the quality of construction and finish at the show home but had never really thought about just what level of accommodation we were offering. It was while giving a guided tour one day that one of our visitors said they had just been to the Caribbean to look at property investment that was supposed to be five star. The lady said the Caribbean was supposed to be five star but in her eye’s the Oakwrights show home was most definitely five star and she wished that she had spent the week with Oakwrights.

It is always good to get third part accreditation and we are pleased to have gained a Five Star Gold award from Visit England for the quality of our show home which we offer to our prospective clients to spend the night in. Five Star Gold is the highest award that can be gained for a property.

The day of our assessment arrived and we spent a whole morning going through everything we have to offer in infinite detail. I must say that I was a little nervous as the assessor was an independent person giving his view on the quality of comfort and level of quality of service and finish that we offer to our guests. All seemed to go well and the assessor seemed to really appreciate the oak frame. We were then into the waiting game.

This conversation made me start to think what level of accommodation are we offering and are we brave enough to find out. I contacted Enjoy England and I must admit that I was a little daunted by the 72 page form that I had to wade through to fill in and apply. We made our application and made the appointment for the quality assessor to visit.

The results came through and I could not believe it. Not only had we gained five star accreditation but we had gained a Gold Award to, this is the highest grading that we could possibly get for self catering accommodation. Our guests can now relax and enjoy their experience of gaining ideas for their own oak frame design knowing that they are truly in five star accommodation.
