New England Style Oak Frame

I was out on my rounds in Kent last week when I made an impromptu mobile call to a client to see if I could visit while in the area. While my call was spur of the moment Sophia was more than happy for me to visit and wow what a visit.

I had heard that Sophia had put a fantastic finish to her house but I was taken by surprise when I arrived. With its cross over between New England and Scandinavian design the house looks fantastic both on the outside and the inside.

On the outside painted white weather boarding has been used which I would not naturally think of but looks great and adds a clean line that enhances the oak frame. Hand made brick, clay tiles overhangs and jetties make for a really interesting looking house.

Internally the look is a real tour de force where Sophia has used her interior design skills to great advantage. The subtle colour tones work really well with the oak frame and along with large areas of glazing the interior is given a gentle Scandinavian country rustic look.

I will have to get on and write a detailed case study soon.
