Recipe for Success. Spot on with Oakwrights and Emma Bridgwater

We are as busy as ever with our ‘Try before you Buy’ service at the Show Home, and as ever we are always trying to improve our service and enhance the experience for our guests.

It had been decided, following comments by clients who have stayed at the Show Home, that possibly we should add some colour to our décor. I had purposely kept the colours of the house fairly neutral as I felt that people could then spend the evening in the house and make their own decisions as to what colours may be most appropriate, and also what colours they personally like.

Well we decided to add some colour, so then we had to decide what colours to add. As ever in our little team once the discussion started I thought it would never end. In the end we felt that we would freshen up the kitchen area by going for some new table ware and then possibly follow on with more colour.

Once we had made the decision to go for table ware the question then arose as to what table ware to go for. It needed to be something traditional but with a modern twist.

This was an obvious choice. Which pottery company makes traditional table ware with a modern twist - Emma Bridgwater of course. We chose what is almost a signature range in the Polka Dot pattern, as the variation of colours in the dots match nicely with the fired earth colours we have used, and the range of colour means that we have a wide range of choices to use with complimenting pieces of furniture and soft furnishings.

Sarah from Emma Bridgwater was really helpful with choosing which pieces of china would work best and putting the set together. The delivery arrived in the middle of a team meeting and I then drove every one mad opening the boxes of china while David Grey was trying to give his presentation. Jakki and I put together a quick display which you can see in the photos attached. We are now thinking of how we can best display the Emma Bridgwater pottery when it is not being used by our guests.

Why not come and visit us and see it for yourself.

You will see further pictures in a new photo shoot that we will be carrying out soon.
