Well for Oakwrights it does any way. Today we have started erecting our stand for The Low Energy Home within hall 5 of the NEC for the National Home Building & Renovating show.
The Team arrived at the NEC at 8AM along with the first articulated lorry of frame components. We managed to gain agreement to be allowed to use a 25 tonne crane in the hall to help with erection. The carpet took a while to be installed and as usual some negotiation had to take place regarding the position of electric supplies.

At 10.30am we actually started to erect the oak frame and it all started to take shape. The frame that we are erecting for the HB&R Low Energy Home exhibit is the Dinedor model from our Woodhouse range of designs based on our show home in Hereford.
It is always exciting and really gets the adrenalin pumping when you have a vast amount of work to get done and a short space of time to complete it in which is always the situation with show time.
We filmed the start of the frame erection and took some film of the lads starting to erect the oak frame. We have also set up a time lapse camera to make a film of the whole frame erection process. We will make this into a short film and post it onto the web site.
I was really pleased with how well the frame looked and my thoughts turned to the fantastic opportunity that there is for a lucky self builder. We are selling the show frame which has the added advantage of having been fully cleaned and oiled for a special price of £19,500 giving a saving of £6,500 over the retail price.
If you are interested come along and have a look around the stand at the show and you can also see all the designs from the Woodhouse range of oak frames.
