Let’s meet: Your local Oakwrights design consultant will arrange a meeting with you to discuss your needs and aspirations for your future extension.
Your initial design: They will then draw and send you a bespoke oak framed design that fully encompasses your ideas, space and budget.
Build requirements: Your design consultant will advise you whether your extension will fall under permitted development or require planning permission.
Planning: If planning is required, we can complete and submit the application for you and prepare a Building Regulations package on your behalf.
Contract: Once planning has been received, we will draft a contract for you to sign and ask for a deposit for your oak order.
3D survey: Following planning approval (if it was needed), we will complete a 3D survey of your home before drafting a contract for you to sign and asking for a deposit.
Your frame design: Our Frame Design Team will send you a technical 3D model drawing of your extension that you can ‘walk around’ and approve.
Materials order: Once you have signed this off, we will order your oak and any other contracted materials we are supplying, for example, if you have opted for our face glazing system.
Oak framing: Your oak will go through our K2i Hundegger cutting machine before the frame itself is put together and hand-finished by our Craftsmen and women.
It’s delivery day: Unassembled, your oak framed extension will be carefully transported to your home on an agreed date and erected by our experienced site teams!
