OAKWRIGHTS offer a complete design service from interpreting initial concept ideas to producing detailed drawings for planning submission. Thoughtful and imaginative design solutions satisfy many project requirements of which the foremost is accurately interpreting our clients brief. Lifestyle, the ‘look’, plot and location, and local planning issues are some of the considerations that need to be taken into account when designing a bespoke home. We understand that good design can also address many other elements which can help to ease the progress of the build and result in a building that is both in harmony with its surroundings and a pleasing legacy for the generations to come.
Many of our clients find a visit to our show home an inspiration in gaining ideas appropriate to their own design, whilst experiencing the unique ambience of an oak frame house. We hold regular open days and there is the opportunity to stay overnight (£150 per night refundable against any frame purchase). Close by are our offices where we have a library of plans of oak houses ranging in style from highly contemporary to traditional. Whilst we do not expect anyone to build exactly the same house they can be an aid and inspiration in the collation of your own ideas.
Whilst some people come to us with very firm ideas already formulated, many find it hard to either visualise or express their ideas. To this end we have highly experienced and creative regionally based designers specialising in interpreting a client’s brief and producing quality planning designs. They will arrange a meeting at your plot, listen to the brief, and return a written proposal for your consideration. Should you decide to go ahead they will produce beautiful hand drawn elevations and floor plans together with the plot and locations drawings needed by planning authorities together with the various additional statements that may be required (access, impact etc). Being familiar with oak framing allows our designers to realise the full potentialities of both its aesthetic and structural qualities.
