This is a company where the phrase "bench taught, not book taught" has a true resonance.
The majority of our staff comes from a carpentry and framing background. Those who join us from other backgrounds spend their induction on-site and in our workshops, learning at hand what our business is really about.
The understanding of the development of and application of the joints and techniques that has given this country such a wealth of framing architectural heritage stands all our employees in good stead, whatever their role with Oakwrights.
Although based on ancient traditions, our production methods are advanced. We are a progressive company that continually assesses and improves all aspects of our production. Our commitment to quality and investment extends to all parts of the company.
Substantial investment has been made in the design department. Design software packages are continually assessed and upgraded to give what we believe is the best frame design service on the market.
