Oakwrights Country Buildings in pole position at the Festival of Speed
Last weekend, Oakwrights Country Buildings was part of Motorsport’s ultimate summer party. Our team headed over to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, held from 23 – 26 June 2016 in the beautiful parkland surrounding Goodwood House.
TIMBER OUTBUILDINGS ON DISPLAY
A must for all car lovers, the event was the perfect platform for us to show how our oak frames can create stunning garages as well as a host of other timber outbuildings. Many visitors were attracted to our stand by the appearance and flexibility of our oak-framed buildings. Each one is bespoke, giving buyers the chance to choose the roof pitch and finishes, as well as the number of bays. There is also the option to have a drive-through bay as well as extra features such as doorways, windows and even log stores.
A Bespoke Garage Building at the Festival of Speed
But it’s not just about the aesthetics – much like a high-performance car, it’s about the speed too.
Once you’ve developed and agreed your design with our in-house design team, your oak garage will be produced using the latest technology combined with traditional carpentry skills. This is the reason we call it the ‘Intelligent Oak Frame’. Our high precision machinery is the most sophisticated in the world, which means that your oak frame can be created as quickly and precisely as possible, but still benefit from many handcrafted features and details.
The speed of installation is just as impressive. A three-man team could have a single-storey, two bay garage fully installed at your home in just one day. A larger, more complex building including three bays and a room over the top, could be installed within just five days.
A Garage that lasts for years!
Once your oak-framed garage is ready, time will certainly be on your side. Developed using a building method that’s been around for centuries, oak-framed buildings can last for more than 200 years, giving you all the time you will ever need to enjoy your new garage or bespoke oak country building.
If you missed us at the Festival of Speed, make sure you catch us at our other forthcoming events starting with the Great Yorkshire show, then Countryfile Live, followed by a return to Goodwood for the Goodwood Revival and finally, our appearance at the Royal Berkshire Show in September.
