Oakwrights Country Buildings and Deranged, combine forces at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017
Having met in February at The Classic Car Show London at Excel, Jason and Alex from Deranged approached Oakwrights Country Buildings to enquire about using one of our oak garages as their exhibition space at the Festival of Speed; and the outcome was incredible. The exhibition space was made up of a raised platform with black decking to display the cars, as well as a leisure space to play games, enjoy refreshments and relax inside.
Deranged Oak Frame Garage
This Oak Framed Garage offered a pleasing backdrop to the modified cars, featuring 3 bays that measured out at 3 metres wide per bay, giving ample space for the variety of car sizes - from small cars to large SUVs, with a 5.55 metre depth. Moreover, at a height of 3.8 metres, the single-storey Oak frame garage easily complies to Permitted Development restrictions for outbuildings and garages (for more information on Permitted Development, see their website here. Many of the styles are available in oak garage kit form too.
On display was the poster - and one of a kind - Deranged Mustang GT-S 700, a modified 2016 Ford Mustang, with a super charger bumping it up to 700 BHP. This example was an incredible specimen of the work that Deranged do, with their custom internal and external modifications.
Also on display was a Land Rover Defender, two examples of Jeep Wranglers, a Ford Ranger and a Moto Guzzi V7 750cc.
As always, a brilliant weekend spent at Goodwood, and a highly successful first collaboration between Oakwrights and the Deranged team: prepare for some more exciting projects together in the future.
