Supporting The Community
TJ Crump Oakwrights have built on their already rooted support of the community with a donation of a new sports kit for the children and teaching staff. Bill Keir, General Manager at Oakwrights mentions, “A good strong relationship with the local community is very important to us as an organisation. Just this summer, we designed and constructed a Trebuchet (basically a giant catapult) for The Stonemason's Tale in the city whilst our Border Raiders Team raised almost £1000 for St Michael's Hospice, with a 55 mile cycle trek along the Taff Trail to St Fagan's!”
The relationship with Stretton Sugwas primary reaches back just over three years to an approach from a parish councillor requesting the assistance of Oakwrights, with the construction of an outdoor classroom. TJ Crump answered that call with the donation of the design, the oak frame and the construction of a pavilion at the edge of the school field.
