We are Oakwrights, we have been building beautifully styled homes on behalf of our customers since 1999, we extend properties, add a little extra space for guests or a child returning from university, we make the dreams and aspirations of our customers come true!
We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for Oakwrights Country Buildings for the South West & South Region to join our sales team!
As a Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Following up on all leads in your geographic area, guiding our customers through the entire sales process!
- Maintaining regular communication with the Commercial Manager and clients as necessary
- Responding to referred sales enquiries and messages within 48 hours
- Maintaining your own diary and to do lists, and to prioritises actions in order of importance to drive revenue
- Ensuring all information is two-way, with both the client, Sales and Estimating team
- Required to prepare and present house designs, working alongside our architects
- Produce a sales forecast for monthly and quarterly prospects
In order to be successful within this role you should:
- Have a wide-ranging general knowledge, of Timber construction oak frame building and our Country Buildings.
- Experience of, or a keen interest in: eco-building, modern methods of construction, prefabrication and off-site construction, Passivhaus / low energy building.
- Have good communication skills and friendly manner when dealing with clients or staff.
- Have a positive approach and positive facility for minimising problems.
- Be responsible for your own work, self-motivation, flexibility and enthusiasm, ability to take initiative.
- Have the ability to give and take constructive criticism.
- Be able to anticipate and counter problems before they arise.
- Deal with incidental problems efficiently with the minimum of disruption to work programme.
- Have the ability to assist the team to attain the departmental targets with regard, all in accordance with the Company Year Plan.
- Be very comfortable and adept with using modern software (CRM - HubSpot, Microsoft Word & Excel)
