The Woodhouse range

One oak house style, six oak frame design templates

Our show home, ‘The Woodhouse’ has been the source of much inspiration for our clients and in many cases has been the starting point for their own oak frame house designs. Through this feedback we have created a range of country contemporary style homes with varying floorplans and of different sizes.

The Woodhouse range

Each design within the range takes ‘The Woodhouse’ design as its core and gives more or less space. This allows your building plot to be taken into consideration allowing for your oak frame home to sit comfortably within its surroundings. Planning consent and your budget will also need to be taken into account.

All six of the designs have two levels of oak frame: a base frame with an aisled structure with less oak visible internally or a full post & beam frame that gives the full oak structure for the entire principal framework. These options enable you to pick how much oak framework you would like to see in your home. The exterior of the designs has been chosen to follow country contemporary lines.

Surrounding the oak frame there is a highly insulated softwood stud frame that incorporates our WrightWall & Roof systems. The WrightWall systemallows for extremely high levels of airtightness.

Externally, each design can be enclosed with brick, stone, render, tile hanging, weatherboarding or a varying combination of the above depending on your requirements. This allows for the design to fit in with the local vernacular while giving the finish you desire.

Create your own house design with our oak frame templates

One of the six designs within The Woodhouse range may be just right for you, but if not, you can use these designs as inspiration to form the basis of your own bespoke project.

Combine one design with another, or just take the general style, and create a totally new floor plan. The Architectural design team can give advice and assist you making sure you achieve a design that works best for you, your plot and your budget.

Alternatively, you can create your own bespoke dream home with the help of our designers. Using computer-aided design we can create 3d models giving you the chance to ‘walk through’ a simulation of your design to see if it ‘feels’ right.
