Help keep our workshop running at its best

Behind every Oakwrights home is a well-organised, efficient workshop where every member of the team plays an important role. As a Workshop Support Operative, you'll help create the environment that allows our skilled craftsmen to produce the exceptional quality our clients expect.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. From preparing materials and wrapping completed timber frame panels to maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop, your contribution will help keep production moving smoothly.

Whether you have previous workshop experience or simply enjoy practical work and take pride in doing a job well, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

What you'll be doing

As part of our workshop team, you'll help ensure everything is in place for production by:

  • Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and safe.
  • Wrapping completed timber frame panels ready for storage and delivery.
  • Preparing and organising materials for production.
  • Moving materials safely around the workshop.
  • Supporting stock control and keeping storage areas organised.
  • Assisting the production team with day-to-day workshop tasks.
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times.

Who You'll Be Working With

You'll work alongside an experienced and supportive production team who are passionate about craftsmanship, quality and continuous improvement. Everyone plays an important role in delivering the high standards we are known for, and you'll be encouraged to learn from colleagues across the workshop while developing your own skills. It's a collaborative environment where people are always willing to lend a hand and take pride in what they achieve together.
